Dr. Gulshan Rai has been appointed as an advisory board member by The Blockchain and Crypto Assets Council (BACC) of the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) on 3rd August 2021.

Dr. Rai has 30+ years of experience in the information technology domain. His area of expertise includes e-governance, cybersecurity, and cyber laws. He had played a vital role in developing the National Watch and Alert System and the National Knowledge Network in India. He is the Chief Information Security Officer at the Prime Minister’s Office, Government of India, and a distinguished fellow at ODF. He was previously associated with CERT-In as its director-general, ERNET India as Executive Director, and as a Group Coordinator, E-security and Cyber Law Division, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government.  

BACC is an industry-wide organization, comprising all major crypto-exchanges, formed under the aegis of the Fintech Convergence Council of IAMAI in 2017 with the vision of doing public advocacy, increasing awareness, and providing industry guidance for crypto technology.
